The origins of Cesi are very ancient and date back to more than five centuries before Christ. In the last years of the Roman Empire, the branch of Via Flaminia that crossed Carsulae lost importance and its inhabitants mostly sought refuge in Cesi.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a10f29a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a10f29a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\">\n\t\t\t\t<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YkfzWkJ5bz8\" width=\"1170\" height=\"470\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3a5dc5d1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3a5dc5d1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>From the 11th. century, Cesi was capital of the Arnolfe Lands, which stretched from behind the village, in the mountainous area. Cesi has three entrances that lead onto narrow streets that develop at different levels along the mountain ridge and are connected by steps. The main entrance is lower down, near the <strong>Church of St. Angel<\/strong>. Continuing uphill, on the right we find <strong>Contelori Palace<\/strong> and, at the top of the street, the <strong>Church of Saint Agnes.<\/strong> Following the upper street (Via Angelo Cesi) we find the <strong>Church of Saint Mary the Assumption<\/strong> and the former <strong>Church of Saint Andrea (currently a theatre)<\/strong>, both overlooking the valley. As proof of its importance Cesi also has numerous noble palaces that stand testimony to the presence over the centuries of high-ranking families, such as the <strong>Eustachis, Spadas, Cittadinis<\/strong> and <strong>Conteloris.<\/strong> The most famous of all the <strong>Cesi family<\/strong> was Federico who founded the Lynx
