From the monumental <strong>Roman Gate<\/strong>, which opens up in the area in junction with the modern town, you go up along Via della Repubblica (with visible sections of the ancient Roman road) and come across the <strong>Church of St. Francis<\/strong> and the adjoining <strong>Convent that houses the rich Civic Museum<\/strong>. At the top of this small town stands the <strong>Dodecagon Tower<\/strong> and the <strong>Duomo.<\/strong> To the north, all around the overhanging cliff upon which the small town was built, the Rio Grande creek flows. In addition to the Roman Gate, the entrances to the medieval town include the <strong>Leo IV Gate,<\/strong> to the east, and higher up, the <strong>Posterola Gate.<\/strong> The fourth gate is on the western side and overlooks the valley below, thus called the <strong>Valley<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Gate<\/strong>. Among the numerous historical buildings in the intricate medieval structure, the <strong>Municipality<\/strong> stands out which houses the beautiful <strong>18th. century Theatre<\/strong> and the two noble palaces of <strong>Petrignani<\/strong> and <strong>Farrattini.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element
